About Us

City Architectural is a forward thinking and energetic young architects practice based in Chester, UK.  The practice is currently run from home offices by architect Keith Jones and architectural technologist Mike Blears.   The aim of the practice is to contribute to architecture by bridging the gap between the well known 'plans drawn' services and the expensive options of the larger practices.

Our work is focused on small to medium scale residential projects such as house extensions, barn conversions and small housing estates, and our combined technical skill and design creativity allows us to produce well balanced designs with excellent functionality, value and aesthetics.

About Keith

After gaining a national diploma in construction with distinctions at NEWI, Keith went on to study architecture at the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art at the University of Dundee where he completed his formal training and was granted the Thomas Dalgety Dunn Award for architecture.

About Mike

Mike began his professional career in 1995 after completing his higher diploma in construction at the North East Wales Institute of Higher Education and has since worked with small to medium sized practices gaining extensive experience and knowledge in detailing residential, retail and commercial buildings.

Our careers re-connected in 2001 whilst working for Graham Bromilow Associates where we combined expertise in technical detailing and design creativity whilst working together on a number of restorations, conversions, extensions and new build projects in both the residential and commercial sectors.
